The 'Shit-List'

Normally reserved for fraudsters, crooks and postal thieves. But hey, we're lucky to have such nice customers, so nothing to report on that front. 

Right now though, we're seething at becoming victims of a peculiarly 21st Century business practise. 'Domain stealing'.

WIthout writing a 30 page essay, the facts are that our old 'onlyvinyl.biz' domain was registered with '1and1' and was due for renewal on 3rd December

. Despite having no reminders, either emailed or snail-mailed by '1and1', our domain was abruptly sold within 1 hour of the renewal date by '1and1' to 'Dom Collect AG' of Switzerland, who, as their name suggest, collect Domains to sell (back) to businesses.

So, I was left with the dilemma of do I pay an exhorbitant amount of money to get back what rightfully belongs to me, or do I move on, upwards and onwards, and 'give the finger' to these practitioners of sharp business? I chose the latter course.

99% of our business comes from repeat customers and our mailing list, so I've taken the POV that 'the babies can have their rattle', and whilst being short-of-blackmailed to get our old domain name back, I won't play their sordid games.

Lawyers and Domain Name resellers - the absolute pond-life, bottom-feeding scum of the modern age. Sod 'em :-)
